Arbeitstitel „Linking Moves: Umzüge in begleitete Wohnarrangements im jungen und höheren Erwachsenenalter“
Karla Wazinski beschäftigt sich in ihrem Dissertationsprojekt aus praxistheoretischer Perspektive und unter Anwendung des "Linking Ages" Forschungsprogramms mit der Herstellung von Alter(n)sdifferenzierungen in altersspezifischen, pädagogischen Settings. In der ethnographischen Feldstudie werden Umzugsprozesse junger und ältere Erwachsener in pädagogisch begleitete Wohnformen, wie z.B. das sozialpädagogische Jugendwohnen oder Formen des betreuten Wohnens, herausgearbeitet. Entlang von Dimensionen wie "Betreuung", "Autonomie" oder "Lernen" werden Praktiken (z.B. Zugangs- und Hygienepraktiken) in den betreuten Wohnformen analysiert und die Hervorbringung von Alter(n) sowie Grenzziehungspraktiken in den Umzugsprozessen kontrastiert und herausgearbeitet.
Working Title “Linking Moves – Relocations to Assisted Living Arrangements of Young and Older Adults”In her dissertation project, Karla Wazinski investigates the construction of age and age boundaries within age-specific pedagogical settings from a practice-theoretical perspective, drawing on the "Linking Ages" research programme. The ethnographic field study explores relocation processes of both younger and older adults into pedagogically assisted forms of housing, such as socio-pedagogical youth housing or assisted living arrangements for older adults. The study analyses practices within these assisted living settings—such as access routines or hygiene practices—along dimensions including “care”, “autonomy”, and “learning”. In doing so, it contrasts and examines the ways in which age and ageing are (re)produced, as well as the boundary-making practices involved in these transitions.
