Karla Wazinski studierte Soziale Arbeit/Sozialpädagogik in Koblenz sowie Erziehungswissenschaft an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.  Nach ihrem Studium war sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in verschiedenen Forschungsprojekten im Fachbereich Erziehungswissenschaft der Goethe Universität Frankfurt tätig. Seit 2022 ist sie Doktorandin in der DFG-Emmy-Noether Gruppe „Linking Ages – Die materiell-diskursiven Praktiken des Un/doing Age über den Lebenslauf“ und assoziiert am Frankfurter Standort des Graduiertenkollegs „Doing Transitions“.

Ihre Expertise und Forschungsinteresse umfasst die Qualitative Sozialforschung, dabei insbesondere die Situationsanalyse, Wohnen und (Wohn)übergänge sowie das Un/doing Age und die Herstellung von Altersdifferenzierungen im Lebenslauf.

Karla Wazinski studied social work/social pedagogy in Koblenz and educational science at Goethe University Frankfurt.  After that she worked as a research assistant in various research projects in the Department of Educational Science at Goethe University Frankfurt. Since 2022, she has been a doctoral candidate in the DFG Emmy Noether Group “Linking Ages - The Material-Discursive Practices of Un/doing Age across the Life Course" and associated with the Frankfurt site of the Research Training Group “Doing Transitions".

Her expertise and research interests include qualitative social research, in particular situational analysis, housing and (housing) transitions as well as the un/doing age and the production of age differentiations in the life course.
